Over the span of his career, Tim McGraw has crafted an impressive list of accomplishments: number one singles and albums, top-grossing tours and movie roles. How could there be anything else to add to the list?

It looks like McGraw managed to find something else. The singer will be partnering with Snap Fitness to design a line of fitness clubs called TRU MAV Signature Clubs.

Looking at McGraw, it is no surprise that he decided to pursue this venture. His sturdy physique and intense workouts even leave seemingly fit guys like Brantley Gilbert with nightmares about going through McGraw’s fitness routine.

A huge country tour like the Soul2Soul Tour sounds like it would keep an artist too busy to make time for a workout, but McGraw spreads it out between the morning and afternoon.

McGraw shared that his workouts start early with some fairly simple tasks. He walks on the treadmill for 30 minutes to loosen up, and then he stretches. He bumps it up a bit with yoga and weights, and then runs stairs in the arena. Later, it is time for the heavy-hitting stuff.

“We do a big CrossFit training session in the afternoon that usually goes from an hour to an hour and a half. It depends on how everybody holds up. It starts with 10 or 15 people; it ends with four or five sometimes. That’s our afternoon workout. Then we go get showered up and have dinner, and get ready to do a show,” McGraw told Men’s Fitness.

McGraw says his wife, Faith Hill, also participates in the tour workouts, though to a different degree.

“She likes to do some of the yoga and the stretching. Roger [Yuan], my trainer, is really good with martial arts and boxing, and she likes to do a lot of that stuff with him,” shares McGraw.

Of course, no workout is complete without a good pump-up playlist to keep the endurance flowing.

“Boy, I love ’70s music, so I’ll always have ’70s rock ‘n’ roll pounding. Bruno Mars is always a good one. I’ll put on Unorthodox Jukebox when I go for a run. Anything that sort of just gets you happy, gets you moving, makes you feel good, is what works for me,” McGraw says.

Fitness does not just change McGraw physically. There is a positive mental aspect that he noticed began to translate into other parts of his life.

“It became a discipline for me, and it allowed me to become more disciplined in all the other things that I did,” he says.

The two-year partnership with Snap Fitness will allow McGraw to help design fitness clubs with equipment based on his own fitness regime. He will also work with his trainer to develop workouts that are both beneficial and functional, ensuring that fitness habits are accessible to people no matter their schedule or fitness level.
