The music and legacy of Dolly Parton will be celebrated at the Recording Academy’s MusiCares Person of the Year gala in early 2019. Honoring the legendary singer/songwriter with special tribute performances will be newly added acts Vince Gill, Don Henley, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Mavis Staples and Linda Perry.

Previously announced performers include five-time GRAMMY-winner Chris Stapleton, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, Norah Jones, Leon Bridges, Mark Ronson and Lauren Daigle. Parton herself will close out the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year event with a performance of her own.

Proceeds from the 29th annual event will benefit MusiCares, “a charity founded by the Recording Academy that ensures music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need.”

Previous MusiCares Persons of the Year include Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Aretha Franklin, Bono and Fleetwood Mac.

The tribute will take place two days before the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The festivities conclude with the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019. The telecast will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. ET.
