After suffering from sickness enough to cancel shows back in January, Willie Nelson will have to do the same for all of his February performances due to dealing with the flu.

In a statement made to Rolling Stone, the 84-year-old musician will take “a few extra weeks to recover completely,” from his bout with the flu. Nelson also cut himself back from playing shows in January for similar reasons, in which his health was plagued by either a severe cold or the flu. He even had to cut a set off after having difficulties on stage during a show earlier in the year.

This incidence isn’t the first time Nelson has dealt with the side effects of his illness affecting his live shows; in 2017, he backed out of a number of shows due to a bad cold as well. Despite his issues though, he still continued to truck along by playing the iconic Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show back in March of last year to thousands upon thousands of fans.

His publicist even guaranteed his listeners that the country legend is doing fine otherwise to his outstanding ability to fight past any issues regarding his physical ability.

Willie Nelson’s next show is expected to happen on March 5 in Greenville, South Carolina. Fans can stay updated on his health status on his official website.
