What is better than a song performed by one star? A collaboration between two superstars!

Willie Nelson and the late Glen Campbell were named winners of the Musical Event of the Year category for the 51st Annual CMA Awards. The pair teamed up on Nelson’s often-covered “Funny How Time Slips Away” for Campbell’s final album, Adiós. The album was released to critical acclaim just months prior to Campbell’s August 8th death.

The news was announced during ABC’s Good Morning America broadcast, which took place live in Nashville outside of Bridgestone Arena Wednesday morning.

The other songs in this years’ Musical Event of the Year category included “Speak to a Girl” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, “Setting the World on Fire” by Kenny Chesney and P!nk, “Kill a Word” by Eric Church and Rhiannon Giddens, and “Craving You” by Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris.

The 51st Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air live from Nashville on Wednesday November 8 at 8pm ET on ABC.
