‘When Was The Last Time’ you picked up a Darius Rucker album? Hopefully today because the singer’s latest project is out now!

Rucker’s new album is a 12-song collection of tracks from some of Nashville’s hottest songwriters, including Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, Zach Crowell, Jon Nite, J.T. Harding and Rucker himself. In addition to the impressive track listing, the album features a star-studded collaboration between the South Carolina native and his longtime friends Charles Kelley, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean on the song “Straight to Hell.”

“I get a phone call from Charles Kelley out of the blue. But I’d been meaning to cut ‘Straight to Hell’ for every record I’ve put out. Every record I go I’m going to cut ‘Straight to Hell,’ but I just never do. And Charles Kelley calls me out of the blue and goes, ‘Hey man, I was just listening to that Straight to Hell song, you should cut it and I should sing along to it.’ I took that as the universe saying ‘Dude cut the song,’” recalled Rucker recently.

Kelley and Rucker later brought in Bryan and the finishing touch was vocals from Aldean and the entire song came together.

“It really sounded like we sang together our whole lives. And so that song…I really hope we can take a chance with that one,” added Rucker.

In honor of When Was The Last Time, Sounds Like Nashville is offering fans the chance to win a signed copy of the album. Five lucky winners will be chosen at random….good luck!
